The Bear Hotel is in the heart of the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is the perfect venue for weddings in West Berkshire, East Wiltshire, North Hampshire and South Oxfordshire.

We specialise in smaller weddings of up to 80 guests and pride ourselves on offering a bespoke service to our clients.

The Hotel is Licensed for Civil Ceremonies, Civil Partnerships and Naming Ceremonies and we work with the West Berkshire Registry Office at Shaw House.

We have two areas available for your ceremony and reception.

The Brasserie, with its rustic appeal, seats up to 60 and is perfect for an intimate wedding with an historic feel.

The Riverside Suite is our self-contained function room, with its own bar, conservatory and terrace overlooking the River Dunn. It is a perfect private space to celebrate the whole day.

We have a modest garden and our own little island, ideal for photographs and drinks receptions.

For bigger events we offer full exclusive use of the hotel.
