The Bear Hotel restaurant prides itself on the quality of the food and is one of the best restaurants in Hungerford.

Head Chef Phil Wild uses local fresh produce to create a unique Modern European menu that appeals to customers coming for lunch, dinner or having large functions and events. An experienced award winning chef, he understands that ingredients of the highest quality, cooked simply, make for a wonderful taste experience.

As well as serving eclectic dishes Chef stays true to his roots and offers The Bear's old favourites on the menu every day, as well as some divine specials.

With three dining areas, from the rustic Brasserie, with its beams and high backed leather chairs, to the bar for informal meals and the courtyard for warm sunny days.

We offer a dining experience with a warm welcome every day.

The Brasserie Restaurant 

 

Lunch: -

Monday to Sunday - 12.00 noon to 3pm

Dinner: -

Monday to Saturday - 7pm to 9.30pm

Private Parties: -

The Brasserie is also available for Private Party bookings. We would be more than happy to discuss your party requirements.

The Bar

 

The Bar is the perfect place to enjoy a coffee or beverage with friends and, if you have a little more time, perhaps something from Chef's carefully crafted menu.

The historic character of the bar combines with a very modern twist to create comfortable and friendly surroundings.

The bar is open from 10.00am until 11.00pm daily, (10.30pm on Sundays).

Food is served:-

  • Monday to Friday - 12.00pm - 3pm and 6pm - 9.30pm
  • Saturday - 12.00pm - 3pm and 6pm - 9.30pm.
  • Sundays and Bank Holidays until 9pm


The Snug

 

The Snug is a haven away from the hustle and bustle of the world outside. Large sofas, our large screen television, hot drinks and newspapers all help in providing a relaxing space in which you can really unwind.

The Snug can be booked for small parties.
