It's a very delayed thank you for all the arrangements you and your staff made back in March for my birthday party at The Bear. It was a perfect venue and The Snug was ideal, as it gave us all the privacy we needed and we didn't feel guilty about making lots of noise! The food was excellent, and you and your staff went out of your way to make the evening special. 28/02/2010Pippa Stephens LunchHi Lee,I just wanted to drop you a note to say thank you for organising yesterday's lunch so brilliantly - a good time was had by all! The pre-drinks in the bar worked really well and we ended up having cake and coffee/tea in the reception area which allowed people to mingle a little more - as opposed to being seated at a table - so that worked well too. We thought about going back to the bar but there were a few people having a nice sunday lunch in there and we didn't want to disturb them. 20 people can make quite a lot of noise even when they're all speaking pretty quietly!Please extend my thanks to all the staff who made Mum's birthday very special. 31/12/2009Kathryn Cushion via LateroomsWe attended a wedding at the Bear Hotel and booked so that we could stay over. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was excellent in the evening and the Full English Breakfast was really satisfying. I would DEFINITELY stay here again and would recommend it to friends.
