I had an urgent call from home come in before I even checked into the hotel. They told me right when I walked into the hotel and allowed me to use the phone to call to the USA without charge. Great breakfast. The only complaint was the bar noise at 3 in the morning but it was during the world cup so not much you could do about the noise. Over all a good value for the money!

24/05/2010Via Trip AdvisorMy wife and I stayed at The Bear for a couple of days last week. The deal included two nights accommodation, breakfast both days and dinner for one night. We upgraded to a suite at a total cost of £169! It could not have been better - an excellent room, good service and superb food in the bar and restaurant. One minor criticism is the pillows, feather would have been nice. Highly recommended.
