If you enjoy "Shopping until you drop", then Swindon outlet village and Reading are close by.
If it's a family day out, Legoland Windsor is about 30 minutes away and Buckleberry Farm where you can feed the animals, have a tractor ride tour and enjoy nature in progess.
Hungerford has many local antique shops so the Bear Hotel is a perfect base for exploring antiques in Berkshire. Also, why not take a walk by the river to see the boats and barges or take a rideb on The Rose of Hungerford or The Kennet Horse Boat Trip and enjoy a cream tea or ice cream!
